Keywords:

In the first part of his contribution the author describes the general features of the s. c. first nationalization of private enterprises in Yugoslavia, and then, having examined historical sources, analyses the December 1946 nationalization of industrial companies in the People's Republic of Slovenia. The author concludes that the latter nationalization encompassed the most important industrial enterprises in the territory of the People's Republic of Slovenia, and that the owners have not received the compensations they were entitled to by law.
