The author describes how the legal Ljubljana dailies (Slovenec, Jutro) presented the conditions in Prekmurje during the Hungarian occupation. Despite of comparatively small number of articles, the situation in Prekmurje was portrayed rather accurately and from different angles. The articles contain news on German occupation of Prekmurje, on arrival of Hungarian occupier and his diverse measures in political, military, administrative-territorial, economic, social, cultural and sporting sphere. As a source of information, the newspaper articles complement the picture of conditions in Prekmurje during the occupation.
