In Zone B of the Free Territory of Trieste, which was jointly administered by the Military Administration of the Yugoslav Army and the civilian authorities, unlike in Zone A, the political faction supporting the Communist Party of Yugoslavia prevailed after the passing of the Cominform resolution in June 1948. The local Communists strove to prove the appropriateness of the CPY policy in the building of Socialism (planned economy, cooperatives, the development of the people's government)
