Diego de Henriquez - a Photo Chronicler and Records Keeper of the Events during the World War II Italian Occupation of Slovenia
Diego de Henriquez (1909 -1974) from Trieste was a museologist, bibliophile, polyglot, photographer and a devoted chronicler of recent history. From 1941 to 1943, during his service in the army he documented the Italian occupation army, its weaponry and its arrangements in the occupied Slovenia. His photos and diary entries are important resources for the study of the Slovenian history during World War II.
