Abstract

The paper deals with the measures for the so-called epuration of the remnants of Fascism introduced by the Slovene civil authorities in the area under their jurisdiction, following the occupation of one part of the Julian March. This epuration unfolded in several stages. Apart from the actual collaborators with the Fascist and the Nazi occupiers, the notion of "Fascist" included those who opposed the Yugoslav (Communist) occupying authorities and the annexation of this territory to Yugoslavia. On an ethnically mixed territory this operation acquired the bearings of revenge of one nation against the other, also because of the Italian propaganda.
