The Development of the Slovenian Banking System before the First World War

In the paper, the author deals with the institutional development of the Slovenian banking (regulative savings banks, credit cooperatives and joint-stock banking companies) before the First World War, in the order of their emergence. This is accompanied by an analysis of their operation and a research into the correlation between the general economic development and that of the financial institutions in Slovenia before the First World War.
