Political View of Edvard Kardelj within the Framework of European Socialism
Keywords:
Edvard Kardelj, socializemAbstract
On a basis of comprehensive original publicistic and archive material the author attempts to analyze and assess the political view of Edvard Kardelj within the framework of European socialism. Through analysis of Kardelj's writing and also his political conduct during all three periods (before the World War II, during it and in the postwar socialist Yugoslavia), he comes to a conclusion that Kardelj remained true to revolutionary Marxism of Leninist type throughout his life. According to author's hypothesis, Kardelj's final work Courses of development of socialist self-managing political system (Smeri razvoja političnega sistema socialističnega samoupravljanja, 1977) indicates a withdrawal from Leninist paradigm.
