The contribution is based on the B. Sc. thesis entitled The Koper Marine Detachment of the Peoples Liberation Army. The contribution outlines chronologically the operations of the Marine Detachment in the Slovenian Istria. The beginnings of the partisan struggle in the Adriatic Sea and the military-politicai Situation between 1943-1945, leading to the establishment of this detachment, are also described.
