Abstract

Already at the end of World War I the European countries were well aware that in the future military strategy and military conflicts would gain completely new dimensions and that not only soldiers at the fronts would be the targets of airstrikes. The following article discusses the war preparations of the Yugoslav National Assembly, starting in the middle of 1939, only shortly before it was dissolved. The preparations involved the planning of suitable shelters and evacuation, which would allow the Members of the Assembly to keep working without interruptions.
