On the basis of abundant archives material the authors discuss the industrial and financial aspetcs of the development of the joint-stock company Raša in the period between 1919 and 1929. The Raša coal mine was the most important industrial enterprise in Istria and one of the biggest coal mines in the whole of Italy.
