The Problem of the Extreme Left in the French Revolution
Keywords:
francoska revolucija, levica, skrajna levica, hebertisti, enrages, FrancijaAbstract
The author discusses, in a synthetic and discursive manner, the factions within the extreme Left in the French revolution. A great deal of attention is devoted to the »Enrages«, less to the Hebertists and others. The author does not agree with the views held by the majority of historiographers that these extreme leftists were just a marginal phenomenon in the French revolution He recommends a careful assessment of the objective and subjective contribution made to the French revolution by these leftist factions.
