The author presents the activity and role of Trade Union organizers during the socialist period in Slovenia. This presentation is based on archive material about Slovene Trade Union leadership, the United Professional Associations of Yugoslav workers and Employees' Main Committee for Slovenia, as well as on the existing legislation. She shows the situation in the workers' protection during that period, the reasons for the restoration of the activity and institution of the Trade Union organizers in altered political and economic circumstances, the Trade Union organizers' task and methods and, finally, the reasons for their abolition.
