Concepts among the Armed Partisan Forces in Slovenia in 1941

The foundations of armed Partisan forces were laid in Slovenia and Yugoslavia by the Communist Party of Yugoslavia before the April 1941 attack on Yugoslavia it had been planning armed insurrection and power takeover. In the April 1941 struggle the CPY took part in the country's defense, and after its occupation launched us own activities. The insurrection was accelerated by appeals made by the Soviet Union and the Communist International to support their country under attack. The author outlines the growing understanding of the Partisan struggle and the development of military concepts in Slovenia by the end of 1941. He also points to the doubts concerning the justification and success of the struggle that were overcome also due to an active commitment by the Liberation Front of Slovenia.
