The author presents the views of the National Liberation Movement leadership and the Revolution on private property and enterprise in Yugoslavia and Slovenia during the process of political and economic changes. In the economic field, the revolution mirrored Soviet theory and practice regarding private property and its role during the ware and immediately after. Elements of wartime communism, the NEP and the state-run planned economy could be detected in the development process. The paper is based on the archive material belonging to government agencies of the Yugoslav and Slovenian National Liberation Movement.
