Abstract

The public demonstrations in Croatia which delivered a fatal blow to the twenty-year old tyrannical regime of Ban Khuen Héderváry in Spring 1903, gave rise to a solidarity movement in Slovenia. There, several political protests were held in May and June of that year. The rally that took place in Ljubljana on May 24, turned into a tumultuous anti-German demonstration and was only suppressed after intervention by the police and army.
