Efforts of former bondmen of the Snežnik estate for the acquirement of righful ownership over cleared woodland in the eighties of the 19. century

On the Snežnik estate there were unusually numerous cleared woodlands under the law title of hereditary tenancy until land release. The transference of this cleared woodlands into the rightful ownership of the bondmen was never carried out. In the eighties of the 19. century the former bondmen started procedure to acquire these lands iunto their ownership. This efforts were successful. The bondmen tried to get rightful ownership also over other cleared woodlands of younger origin, this time through long duration tenancy. These efforts never succeeded.
