The battle with vine louse in Carniola in the light of the materials of the provincial assembly and committee for Carniola

Abstract

The contribution deals with the struggling with vine louse in Carniola at the end of the 19^th century. After a short description of the pest and ways of fighting it, the article focuses on education on grafting vine. Programme outlines and reports on realization of graft courses give a distinct picture on knowledge of common people about the vine louse in that time. Geographically, the article is limited to Carniola and by time to the period of formation of winegrowing education.
