Keywords:
Parish of Ljubljana - St. Peter, diocesan priest, bishop's visitation, Catholic renewal, Counter-Reformation, concubinageAbstract
The contribution focuses on the cleargy – actually two priests – of the parish of St. Peter near Ljubljana (today parish of Ljubljana - St. Peter) in the year 1631 when the new bishop Rinaldo Scarlichi visited for the first time a part of the diocese of Ljubljana. Through the answers given by St. Peter’s priests to the in spirit of Catholic renewal and Counter-Reformation in advance prepared questions, we are acquainted with their role in the parish, with their life path and with their relations with one another and towards others. On data and especially on interpretative levels, the preserved visitation registers serve as a mirror in which we can look from different angles.
