Abstract

Sculpture that decorates the castle of Strmol today and whose style and quality differ greatly was mainly acquired by the last pre-war owner Rado Hribar. The most interesting prove to be the pieces of garden sculpture that came from the Baroque stairway of Zalog Castle near Moravče. The two telamons at the entrance are the work of Angelo Putti, while the forest nymphs may be a somewhat earlier work by a Venetian sculptor who still remains anonymous.
