Abstract

Several decorative items and table utensils from various types of ceramics are preserved at the Strmol castle. Depicted in the contribution are the most significant, that is those that are noticeable in regard of quality, technique, decoration, age, and similar. The majority of items were bought in the 30s of the 20th century in antique shops. Among them is cream-coloured earthenware from British factories, fine faďence decorative items in the so-called historical style (istoriato) from northern Italian workshops, and porcelain table services manufactured in Meissen and in Vienna.
