Vilma Mlakar born Urh – onetime Strmol chambermaid

Abstract

The contribution is dedicated to the memories of Vilma Mlakar born Urh (1920) who served at the Strmol castle from 1939 to 1946. Besides her recollections, the article contains field notes on other informers who in their narrations additionally illuminate the life at the castle during that revolutionary time. We learn about the lord of the castle Rado Hribar and his wife Ksenija until their apprehension (January 4^th 1944), and of the time after their liquidation until the end of the war and after when the Strmol castle became state facility.
