The Slavs in the Gorizia region in the middle ages

Abstract

The settlement of the Slavs in the East Alpine and subalpine region at the end of the 6^th century has in the long term defined the history of the Gorizia region as well, of which one of the primary components is multilingualism and after that multiethnicity and multiculturalism. The article deals in a synoptic manner with traces the Slavs left in the Gorizia region in the Middle Ages.
