Territorial-property development of the seigneury Pliberk (Bleiburg) and its economic structure in the Late Middle Ages

Abstract

Somewhat from the 13^th century on, the territory of Pliberk, Guštanj (Ravne na Koroškem), Črna and Železna Kapla – today divided between Austria and Slovenia – shared under the protection of the Pliberk seigneury a common fate under different rulers. The author describes the territorial-property development of the seigneury from its beginnings to the end of the 15^th century and its profits and operation based on available sources of the late middle ages.
