Social circumstances in the Carniolian countryside in view of the material for the agricultural questionnaire on 17th and 18th of April 1884 in Ljubljana

Abstract

The agricultural poll in Ljubljana on 17^th and 18^th April 1884 dealt with the issue of economic and social circumstances with rural inhabitants in Carniola. It illuminated the extent of existing mortgage debts of peasants, ascertained the interests calculated on debts, the extent of taxes, and other. Material collected during preparations for the realisation of the polls, offers an overview on the circumstances in the Carniolian rural sphere in the middle of the 80s of the 19^th century.
