Abstract

The paper seeks to recall the long forgotten lives of White Carniolan priests who worked during the episcopacy of the first Archbishop of Gorizia, Karl Michael Attems. The paper ought to be viewed as a supplement and, in some respects, an upgrade to the article on White Carniola in visitation minutes of the Archbishop of Gorizia, Karl Michael Attems (1752–1774) featured in the current volume of Kronika. The composition of biograms drew heavily on the visitation minutes housed by the Archdiocesan Archives of Gorizia, ordination minutes from the Archdiocesan Archives of Udine and Gorizia, numerous civil registers from the Archdiocesan Archives of Ljubljana, and a number of other published archival sources.
