They left Šoštanj, but they never forgot it

Abstract

The article outlines the life and work of three famous members of the Vošnjak family—Josip, Mihael, and Bogumil. Its main focus is on their activities and contributions to the (market) town of Šoštanj, the birthplace of the first two. Mihael Vošnjak’s son Bogumil was also very attached to the town and helped it whenever he could. The article therefore sheds light on the profound mark that the three Vošnjaks left on Šoštanj between the second half of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the Second World War.
