Life tribulations of the Tržič chronicler and parish priest

Abstract

The discussion presents the life and work of the priest Viktor Kragl (1883–1951), who left a profound mark on the local history of Tržič and vastly contributed to the historiography of the Church in the territory of present-day Slovenia. Constantly studying and collecting materials, he compiled several chronicles and necrologies. He spread the popular devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and visited all major pilgrimage destinations as well as important Catholic meetings and congresses.
