The article covers the architecture, sculptures, and paintings produced in Tržič and its immediate surroundings during the twentieth and early twenty-first centuries. It presents the architectural activity, which developed under the auspices of factories and led to the construction of factory buildings, infrastructure, housing and public buildings, as well as influenced the urban image of Tržič and its immediate surroundings. Out of religious buildings that had been constructed in previous centuries, the article mentions adaptations and restorations of churches and chapels, which took place in the twentieth century, for example, the construction of the succursal Church of St. Agnes at Brezje pri Tržiču and the restoration of the succursal Church of St. Joseph in Tržič, which had been damaged by fire. As for public monuments and sculptures contributed by eminent Slovenian artists, special mention ought to be made of two monuments to the National Liberation Struggle, the works of Boris Kobe and Stojan Batič. A special place among paintings, which are predominantly religious in subject, is held by the works produced by Stane Kregar.
