After Viktor Kragl published a survey of religious associations in the parish of Tržič in his volume Zgodovinski drobci župnije Tržič (Highlights from the History of Tržič; 1936), the topic no longer attracted any particular interest in historical studies. The paper discusses the above-mentioned associations from the art historical point of view and aims to provide an integral chronological overview of artworks related to them, to the extent permitted by the preserved materials. Whereas there is a lack of written sources for earlier periods, the time from the mid-nineteenth century onwards is relatively well documented in archives and also supported with notes published in contemporaneous press. Although the art heritage is not particularly rich, there are several valuable and iconographically interesting works among the remains that stand out from the average.
