Abstract

Zgodovinarji pogosto hlastamo po prelomnicah – pomembnih datumih in letnicah, ki uokvirjajo naše razmišljanje in dojemanje sveta. Z njimi se počutimo varne. Včasih si te oporne točke izberemo sami, razumsko sledeč nekemu procesu, včasih nam jih – v skladu s svojimi interesi, vsili nekdo drug. Eno in drugo je bilo krivo, da smo na enodnevnem znanstvenem simpoziju, ki smo ga 27. septembra 2021 izvedli v soorganizaciji Zgodovinskega društva Celje, Muzeja novejše zgodovine Celje, Mestne občine Celje ter Pokrajinskega muzeja Celje, s podporo Javne agencije za raziskovalno dejavnost Republike Slovenije in Filozofske fakultete Univerze v Ljubljani, šele 100 let pozneje argumentirano, na osnovi virov in raziskav, spregovorili o prvem slovenskem županu Mestne občine Celje ter se s tem velikim človekom in Celjanom srečali tudi na zanimivi in odmevni razstavi Pokrajinskega muzeja Celje.
