S širitvijo volilne pravice v zadnjih desetletjih obstoja Avstro-Ogrske monarhije so množice postale ključen akter na polju političnega. Razprava se ukvarja z vlogo duhovščine pri oblikovanju političnih identitet in politizaciji množic na ozemlju dekanij Kamnik, Kranj, Loka in Radovljica med prelomom stoletja in izbruhom prve svetovne vojne. Pri tem se osredotoča na interakcijo duhovnika z ruralno skupnostjo.
