Prispevek obravnava razvoj prehranjevanja plemstva v Habsburških deželah in na Kranjskem v 18. stoletju in temelji na analizi zapuščinskih inventarjev plemstva na Kranjskem, nastalih v obdobju 1771–1780. V prispevku je prikazana razširjenost uporabe različnih materialov jedilnega posodja in posodja za različne vrste toplih pijač, kakor tudi jedilno okolje kranjskega plemstva. Hkrati je prikazan še način obedovanja oziroma serviranja hrane in razlike med različnimi načini postrežbe ter različnimi omizji, obenem pa še kratek vpogled v kuharske knjige.
