The Savin¨s Opera The Last Watch: Beetwen Zagreb and Ljubljana (1904-1907)

The author describes the time and the area of proceed from the Savin's one-act play opera The Last Watch (1904), the author’s firstling. It was reached the first performance in Zagreb (1906) and then has been one repetition in Ljubljana (1907). In those time was very interested in and characteristic the composer's “learning” of composition, which he was used well in nearly of all localities wherever he was on duty (Vienna, Prague, …). The author describes nearly the co-incident music conditions in Zagreb and Ljubljana, too and he has set up Risto Savin in the time and in the area of his opera The Last Watch. By this the author adopts has already known and fundamental particulars. He investigated the new data in the archives in Zagreb and Ljubljana, extra for this case.
