German Minority Educational System in Slovenia in Pre-war Yugoslavia

Abstract

The question of the german minority educationai system in Slovenia in the time of Old Yugoslavia exceeds the frames of only the history of educationai system. It also demands poring over the conditions in this and other spheres in our territory during the last period of Austria-Hungary. Development of this educationai system is described through presentation of the corresponding education legislation, regulating the questions of the minority educationai system, through presentation of the places vvhere the minority german primary schools or departements existed, of the question of teaching language, criteria of opening or closing of those departments Minority departments existed for some time also on the Slovene civic schools, grammar schools and nonclassical secondary schools. The treatise describes their development.
