Essays to Settle the Situation of the Slovene Community in Austrian Carinthia in the Time of the Authoritarian Regime

Abstract

The article deals in greater detail vvith the attitude of the Austrian authoritarian regime tovvards the Slovene community in Austrian Carinthia betvveen 1933—1938. The matter in question is the attitude vvhich is particulary evidenced in the field of instruction and in the endeavours of the regime to settle to a certain extent the question of minority schooling. The article furthermore speaks about problems concerning the activity of the »Political and Economic Association for Slovenes in Carinthia« (Politično in gospodarsko društvo za Slovence na Koroškem) in the period of time discussed and about the attitude of the minority tovvards the »Fatherland Front« (Vaterlandische Front) of the regime.
