The Role of the History in the »directed education«

The present article, which was presented as a paper at the meeting of Slovene historians at Kranjska gora in 1976, includes the information concerning the study programms for history in the first phases of "directed education" in the republics and provinces of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, especially in the Socialist Republic of Slovenia. The authoress stresses the significance of history courses at schools due to its educational function in the total educational system and she opens possible ways for creating the study program of history in the second phase of "directed education". In this way the paper is opening a discussion concerning these problems.
