The Slovene Politics in Carinthia in the Period Between 1893—1904

Abstract

In the period between 1893—1904 the third political power appeared, that is the Social-Deraocratic Party, which vvas an alternative electoral party for dependant Slovene population, in opposition to the German-National Party. The independent class of peasant population continued to support the Conservafive-Clerical Slovene Party. The German nationalism continued to build up its positions on the basis of its economic and political power to the detriment of the Slovenes and it was helped by the civil servants.
