Some Topics from the Slovene Politics in the Period 1894—1904

Abstract

The paper treats some topics from the Slovene political history of the above-mentioned period, such as, the character of the establishment of the Slovene Liberal Party in Kranjska (Carniola); the circumstances related to the establishment of the Yugoslav Social-Democratic Party; factors which influenced the origin of the programme prepared by Etbin Kristan and coneerned the national, cultural autonomy; the bourgeois predomination of the Clerical Party, for which the independence of the Christian-Socialist movement had to be limited and the party directed to the national question.
