The national Question of the Slovenes and Croats in the Policy of the Italian Communist Party (1921—1940)

Abstract

The author describes, on the basis of archives, the development of the relations of the Italian Communist Party towards the national question of the oppressed Slovene and Croat nationalities in the Julian region (Julijska krajina) at the time of fascism. The realization of combining the class struggle vvith the struggle for the national rights and vvith the Iiberation of the minority based on the Leninist principles of the right of self-determination as vvell as the right of separation are accompanied by deviations and incomprehension of the question.
