Some Questions to the Historiography on the Uniting of the Yugoslav Peoples

Abstract

The report is a critique of the results of the historiography in the last 60 years concerning the uniting into the Yugoslav state in 1918. The author particularly criticizes the dominating historiographical model according to which the uniting into the Yugoslav state is considered by means of emphasizing of mostly two factors — Serbia and the emigrant »Jugoslovenski odbor« (Yugoslav Committee). He points out that there is also the third important factor — the Yugoslav nations under the reign of Austro-Hungaria and their political subjects.
