Independent Professional Organizations Ban in 1924 and the Beginning of the New Trade Union Policy of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia in Slovenia

Abstract

The author describes the important role of the revolutionary independent professional organizations in the trade union movement in Slovenia, their being banned by the so called "mala Obznana" in July 11th, 1924, unsuccessful efforts to restore their activity, as well as the initial activity of the provincial organization of the Communist Party of Yugoslavia to unite the forbidden independent professional organizations with the socialistic Expert Commission for Slovenia.
