Abstract

The author gives a review of measures of the Byzantian authorities considering migration and settlement of various nations, tribes and other groups on the territory of the Empire: Slaves, Armenians, Persians, Arabs, Turks, Pechenegs, Uzes, Cumans, Serbs, Gypsies etc. In the resolution the author ascertains the aims and results of the Byzantian colonisational politics.
