Sources of Trubar's naming of Lands and Peoples and his Legacy

Abstract

The treatise captures the occurence and extension of the Slovene ethnic name up to the Reformation in the 16th century and Trubar's lean on it when naming the Slovene nation and its provinces to distingusih them from the neighbouring and other. The Reformation, writers resumed and put into force Trubar's comprehension and naming which have together with the standardisation of the Slovene literary language transmitted to the Enlightment Period and to the constituation of the Slovene nation.
