Abstract

The author gives a short survey of the results of the exploration of the mediaeval settlement Figohr by Lemberg near Šmarje. On that occasion a broad defensive wall was found. Behind it there was another, narrower wall, which, however, is still not possible to define. It was found out that the settlement had been fortified probably three or even four times. According to the excavations the settlement originates from the period somewhere between the 11th and 14th century. The author puts the question concerning the chronological and functional relation towards the other two castles over the market-town Lemberg.
