On Some Problems Concerning the Slovene Policy in 1866
Abstract
On September 27, 1866, the Slovene Nationalists accepted the political programme, basing — as well as the so called "Maribor Programme" of 1865 — on the principle taking in account the specifics of the historical countries and provinces. Considering the fact that the provinces Carinthia and Littoral where, along the Slovenes, also the Germans and Italians lived, can not be "absolutely devided", the Slovene Nationalists demanded that Istria, Trieste, Gorizia, Carinthia and Carniola should unite into the "Kingdom of IIlyria", to which also the Southern Slovene Styria could join.
