The Slovenes and Timok Rebellion in 1883

Abstract

The article is written mainly on the basis of the newspaper reports published in Slovenia in 1882 and 1883 (the liberal Slovenski Narod, Edinost, Soča, the conservative Slovenec, Novice, Slovenski gospodar, the German official Laibacher Zeitung). and points out how the Slovenes were informed of the Timok rebellion and how they were estimating the Serbian government, the radical party and the events going on in Serbia.
