On the Problems of Aboriginal Native Country, Migration and Christianization of Dalmatian Croats

Abstract

On the basis of the new theory of L. Margetić and the analysis of the 30th chapter of De administrando imperio the authoress comes to the conclusion that Dalmatic Croats migrated from Carantania to Dalmatia at the beginning of the IX. century, attained independence by fighting the Franks and accepted Christian faith from Rome. Thus the authoress goes back to the old theory of Sišič as far as the fight against the Franks and Christianization are concerned.
