Settlement Structure in the South - Eastern pre-Alpine Territory in the 5th and 6th Century

Abstract

The author deals with the settlement types and structure in the pre-Alpine territory during the stirring period of migration of peoples, i. e. in the 5th and 6th century. Beside the dieing away antique urban centres there were also the settlements with characteristics of temporary refuges, more constantly populated settlements (their structure is dealt with more in detail), individual settlement units and military posts.
