Debt of Sociology to the French Revolution

Abstract

Sociology was indeed born in the light of the French Revolution, however, the concept of the revolution itself functions ln the first place as a metaphor for society changing; therefor soclology still owes the (French) revolution a research of other dimensions (individuality, utopias, myths etc).
