The Development of Diabetology in the Slovenj Gradec General Hospital from 1925 to 1960

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate the development of treatment of Diabetes Mellitus in hospital of Slovenj Gradec between years 1925 and 1960. We examined primary sources that are preserved and available in the archives and enriched them with verbal sources. Diabetes Mellitus is treated from historical, statistical and social point of view. We made comparison with the present time and put directives for the future.
